ULTIMATE LIGHTING CONTROL WITH SPEEDLITES AND HIGH-SPEED SYNC with Eric Stoner, Technical Advisor, Canon USA & Jon Lorentz, Senior Trainer, Canon USA.

SKILL LEVEL:  MEDIUM

Tired of waiting for the “sweet light” time of day to photograph? It seriously limits your ability to make a living if you can only shoot during this time of day!

Speedlites solve those problems and are terrific tools for their ability to add light just about anywhere you want. One of the key areas for High-Speed Sync (HSS) to be used is in full sun but it doesn’t end there. We’ll teach you how to use HSS in many different conditions for dramatic, jaw dropping looks!

Join Canon Technical Advisor and Master Photographer, Eric Stoner and Canon Trainer Jon Lorentz on this photo walk to explore High-Speed Sync — one of the BEST yet misunderstood features of Speedliting.

By the end of this photo walk, you’ll have the necessary skills to effectively use this feature so you aren’t fumbling around in front of your client or simply frustrated with how to use it. The excuses of waiting until the “sweet light” time of day are over! You’ll learn how to photograph in ANY lighting condition and finally take complete control!

We’ll have a model with us as we venture around the Korakia Pensione to explore the creative possibilities of High-Speed Sync with Speedlites!

KILLING IT WITH COMPOSITION & LENS CHOICE with Eric Stoner, Technical Advisor, Canon USA

SKILL LEVEL:  ALL

Join Canon Technical Advisor and Master Photographer, Eric Stoner as he takes you around the magnificent grounds of the Korakia Pensione and shares the elements of great composition. Bring your cameras and lenses* as Eric not only talks about composition, but also why lens choice plays such a critical role in the creative process.

Taking the time to understand how to make a photograph instead of just taking a picture is an enormous part of your growth as an artist. We’ll look at beautiful areas to pose our model — but also challenge ourselves with incredibly ugly locations as well. Why? If you’re forced to work in an area that’s less than desirable, you MUST come up with solutions that will flatter your subject and sell your images. It’s what’s going to separate your work from the pack, and learning the skills to create something out of nothing will pay off BIG TIME.
