Canon imagePROGRAF series printers a have powerful and FREE program available called Professional Print Layout designed to make your printing experience more streamlined and simple.  PPL is available to use as a standalone application and as a plug-in for Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. The basis for the program is to allow users to print multiple images on a single page with relative ease, eliminating the need for expensive RIPs designed for this purpose.  It is also an excellent printing program for printing individual images on at a time. The program is compatible with the following Canon imagePROGRAF Pro Series Printers:  Pro-1000/2000/4000/6000/2100/4100/6100.  PPL is the successor to the very popular Canon Print Studio Pro.

Learn everything from the basics of how to use this program as well as the deep dive in to little known features.  Every single button and drop down menu will be explained.

Eric Joseph is a photographer and Executive Vice President of New Business and Product Development at Freestyle Photographic Supplies. Eric graduated from California State University, Northridge in 1985 with a B.A. in Art, Specializing in Photography. With over 30 years of experience in the photographic industry, he has unique access to vast technical resources and always seeks to share important and accurate information with as many folks as possible. Eric has traveled across the United States leading seminars and workshops related to digital printmaking. The most notable of which is entitled, “The World of Inkjet Paper…The Print Matters!” Speaking at colleges, universities, commercial labs, photo clubs, art centers and professional photographic organizations, Eric teaches digital printmaking with an emphasis on empirical knowledge allowing folks to make informed decisions about their digital output and how to obtain consistent, reliable, repeatable and controllable results.
