JANE YEOMANS & DONNA COHEN: Getting the Editorial Assignment: Soup to Nuts

Tuesday, September 22nd 12:45pm  – 2:30pm

Trying to get into the editorial world? Curious how magazines work from an art perspective? Is it ok to pitch a photo editor? How does the online version of a print story work in editorial? Do you get to keep the rights to images you make on assignment?

Two veteran photo editors, Jane Yeomans, Senior Photo Editor at Bloomberg Businessweek and Donna Cohen, Director of Photography at Bloomberg Markets, will walk you through assigning and assignments they have made over the years, explaining how stories are conceived, pitched, assigned and produced at two leading Bloomberg publications. From conceptualizing an idea to executing that idea in a photograph, Yeomans and Cohen will illuminate for each attendee how to develop an approach to creating editorial work.

PRICE:  $75
