Importance of Color Management

The Importance of Color Management with R. MAC HOLBERT

Monday, September 21st, 2020 10:45am – 12:30pm

Do you feel that understanding color management is difficult?

Let R. Mac Holbert walk you through the importance of COLOR MANAGEMENT in creating high-quality prints. He will illustrate the implementation of a color managed workflow in easy to understand language and visuals that will enlighten amateurs as well as advanced printmakers. He will explain the differences and subtleties between Adobe RGB(1998), SRGB and ProPhoto RGB. You’ll see how each affects what you can see on your monitor, and what you can print with your ink-jet printers. You’ll learn how to select the correct settings to maximize the control over your printing and image management.

Using the right color space, profiles for your printer and calibrating your monitor will assure you complete control over your digital printing. This is the core of being able to master digital printing. No matter how proficient you are in your workflow, the knowledge gained here will help demystify the process and give you an educated understanding and control over the process of making fine-art digital prints.
